The JLAF is a statutory body established by the three councils shown above, to
provide advice as to the improvement of public access to land in the area
of Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol City and South Gloucestershire for
the purposes of open-air recreation and enjoyment of the area. Its views
do not necessarily represent those of the three councils.
The JLAF website has been designed to be accessible to all

Glossary of terms and abbreviations
This is a non-conclusive and working list of terms and abbreviations used in
Public Rights of Way and Access. Its purpose is to provide a brief introduction
to the terms and abbreviations likely to be encountered in the work of the JLAF
and further clarification should be sought where necessary. It is written with
relevance to the JLAF area and thus may not be transferable to other areas.
